Description

Magnet Base: fav.me/d41csqt

This is based off from my favorite vocaloid song. I did a Zane x Kawaii chan version, but I used a base this time to get the angle of the butterfly headphones. My main focus is getting the angle of the butterfly wings and wings designing and coloring. I know I traced the base, but the base had an incorrect anatomy around the head and it just look weird, but I fixed the anatomy. I should have sketched it on the side so it would look like my drawing. Anyway, this is my first time doing it WITH a naked base reference and Aarmau needs one.

Advantage and Disadvantages of using bases as a reference or trace. I will use it only ONE time and never again because I need to teach young people how to NOT trace artwork, but look up some videos about bases from dA and it shouldn't be used if you really love to draw.

ADVANTAGE: You save time and you got the pose that you wanted. I practiced my coloring skills too, but not too good with the lineart because I realized the lineart was thick. If you paid attention enough when you trace, you get some idea how the anatomy works (ignore the head because it just doesn't look right)

DISADVANTAGE: YOU DON'T GET THE STYLE THAT YOU WANT, which is your original style. The finish product DOES NOT LOOK LIKE YOUR ARTWORK THAT YOU USUALLY DRAW. BUT ALSO, NOT ALL BASES HAVE THE RIGHT ANATOMY. THIS IS WHY I EXPERIMENT IT FIRST. I know my anime style in minecraft diaries varies because it depends on how much time and effort I put into it. I might try mc diaries in my cartoon style, but I like the anime style because it gives me a longer time to enjoy coloring.

Still, I'm in the computer science major and I don't have time to draw. ;=; I need to finish my associate degree and go to four year college to become a game developer or computer engineering.

I love the image and your art is lovely. But your proportions are off. The mouth should be pointing the same way as the nose is on the females face. Her lips are on her cheek. Take a picture of yourself facing away from a mirror. Your nose should aline with your shoulder if done correctly. Your body should face the mirror as your head moves. I hope this works! If you want to know how to draw a face, go to my page. I have tutorials on such and I would like to help!
